Job summary

BBA Consultants, based in Canada, is seeking a structural engineer to join its Civil/Structural Engineering team. You will work on design studies and both preliminary and detailed engineering for projects across industrial, mining, energy, and environmental sectors.

Regular travel to client sites may be required. The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, be a licensed professional in Québec, and possess 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent training/experience
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience
• Knowledge of structural analysis software
• Willing to travel occasionally to client sites and offices
• Advanced English skills for collaboration with BBA offices/clients
• Advanced French skills for Québec collaboration
• Experience with finite element calculations is a plus
• Experience with dynamic structural analysis is a plus

Your future role on our team

By joining our Structural Engineering team, you’ll be required to work with multidisciplinary teams on one or more projects, carrying out consulting engineering tasks such as design studies and preliminary and detailed engineering.

You’ll help us prepare engineering documents to design structures for projects in the industrial, mining and metallurgy, energy, petrochemical, environmental, sustainable development and other sectors.

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant equivalent training and experience
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of structural analysis software
• Available to travel occasionally to client sites and offices
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Asset: Experience in finite element calculations
• Asset: Dynamic structural analysis
