Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an Engineer-in-Training II to contribute to the design, operation and reliability of natural gas pressure regulating stations. You will work with experienced engineers to develop safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions across station facilities and systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on engineering development, and support for operational issues, with opportunities for hybrid work under Enbridge’s FlexWork program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Eligible to become a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO.
  • Understanding of station design, pressure regulation and control systems, heating systems, odourization, measurement, construction practices, field operations, and applicable engineering standards.
  • Knowledge of CSA Z662 and related industry codes and standards.
  • Strong project management, communication, relationship-building, analytical and problem-solving skills.

What You Will Do

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e., Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering).

  • 2+ years of related work experience.

  • Eligible to become a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).

  • Understanding of station design, pressure regulation and control systems, heating systems, odourization, measurement, construction practices, field operations, and applicable engineering standards.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, including CSA Z662.

  • Project management, communication, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Experience related to station design and/or station operations is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
  • Office environment.

  • Some travel (up to 5%) is required for this role.

  • A valid "G" class Ontario driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $73,000 - $90,000 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
