Job summary

Ford of Canada is seeking an Engine plant assistant resident engineer to join the IPTSE organization at the Windsor Engine Plant/Essex Engine Plant in Ontario. You will work with manufacturing teams to identify, contain and resolve quality issues and support engine component and system launches.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor in engineering with 7+ years of professional engineering experience and 2+ years in engine product development, quality, manufacturing, or systems engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' professional engineering experience across technical and cross‑functional environments.
• 2+ years of experience in engine Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering.
• Excellent problem solving skills with solid understanding of problem solving methodologies.
• Proven leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, contain and resolve ongoing quality issues with manufacturing teams.
• Engine component and system launches in the plant, working with propulsion design, calibration, plant vehicle teams and core quality.
