Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Fort McMurray is seeking an Engine Field Service Technician to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site. You will perform maintenance using diagnostic tools and maintain records of serviced vehicles, while adhering to safety policies.

Successful candidates will have 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment/mining, a Red Seal Certification, and a valid driver’s license. This role is 100% on-site with a backfill need and a relocation option.

Job description

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs

• Performs engine overhauls unassisted

• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components

• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

• Field Service Local 7x7 rotational days and nights

• 5 years’ experience required in heavy equipment, mining industry

• Heavy equipment Technician - Offroad / Red Seal Certification required

• Valid driver’s license

• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
