Job summary

OEM Remanufacturing is seeking a Component Cleaner to efficiently clean and transport incoming cores and components, ensuring they are prepared for inspection, quotation and assembly. You will contribute to contamination control and uphold housekeeping standards in your area.

The role requires at least 6 months in a wage-grade position, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and clear English communication. Experience with high‑pressure washing and in heavy‑duty facilities is preferred.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher (internal candidates)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions
  • Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Mechanical aptitude and background is preferred
  • Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
  • Experience cleaning components and high-pressure washing preferred
  • Previous experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

Position Overview:

As a Component Cleaner at OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for efficiently cleaning and transporting incoming cores and components to ensure they are properly prepared for inspection, quotation, and assembly. In addition to this, you will play a key role in our contamination control by contributing to housekeeping duties and maintaining cleanliness in your area.

  • Mart, caustic, and/or acid washing a variety of product types without causing damage to parts

Note:

  • This posting is for a static weekend shift scheduled Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 12 hours per day
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
  • Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment
  • Hourly Rate: $25.46 - $32.89 / Hour

Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
