AMS UBC Student Union is seeking a friendly Engagement Team Member to represent us at campus events, run activities, and engage with students. This is a casual, on-call role that includes some weeknights and weekends.

As part of the Engagement Team, you will help with event setup, coordinate with teammates, animate crowds, run contests, and post photos on social media to boost campus engagement.

Responsabilités

• Assist set up/tear down of events including tents, PA systems, tables and chairs.
• Coordinate with other Engagement Team members on tasks.
• Animate crowds, attract attention, engage with students.
• Run on-site contests and hand out swag.
• Run short surveys.
• Take photos and post on social media.
• Other related duties as required.

Position title: Engagement Team Member

Department: Marketing & Communications

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications

Employee status: Temporary, casual, on call until April 30, 2027

Hours per week: Varies, based on operational needs

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Position Purpose:

The AMS UBC’s Student Union is looking for fun, outgoing, and diverse students to join our Student Engagement Team! The Engagement Team is the face of the AMS when we’re out at campus events, boothing for a campaign, running an activity and more.

Team members need to be friendly, energetic, confident working independently and in team environments, have great communication skills, be able to think on their feet, and adapt to a variety of situations. This is a casual, on-call role that involves a variety of shifts including some weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the set up and tear down of events including equipment like tents, PA systems and tables and chairs
• Coordinating with other Engagement Team members on various tasks
• Animating crowds, attracting attention, engaging, and interacting with students
• Running on site contests and handing out swag
• Running short surveys
• Taking photos and posting on social media
• Other related duties as required
