Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Toronto is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to deliver child-centered programs for ages 0-12, under the YMCA Playing to Learn and Place to Connect curricula. This regular full-time position offers a stable schedule and opportunities for professional development.

Work hours are 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a 12-month contract and anticipated start date of October 1, 2026. A valid First Aid/CPR and immunizations are required, and applicants must be at least 18 years

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience working with children.
• Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort (lifting up to 20 kg).
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families.
• Build positive relationships with children and keep families updated on progress.
• Be a creative play partner and engage children in learning activities.
• Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times.
