Job summary

The University of Manitoba is seeking a Grader/Marker for ENG 1460 in the Price Faculty of Engineering. The appointment runs from January 7, 2027 to April 12, 2027, with a total of 91.76 hours at an hourly rate of CAD 17.54 plus vacation pay.

The role requires familiarity with ENG 1460 or successful completion, and availability for the full period. Applicants should have intermediate skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF documents, and be prepared to provide written feedback to students

Qualifications

Familiarity with ENG 1460 course content and/or successful completion of ENG 1460 preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PDF documents required.

Responsibilities

Meets with the employment supervisor for orientation and guidelines for grading and marking assignments and providing written feedback to students.
Grades and marks work submitted by students from tests, exams or projects.
Provides written feedback to students on the quality of material presented for grading or marking.
May be required to maintain regularly scheduled and posted times for consultation with students on results.
May assist in the production of tests, exams or projects under supervision.
