Clean Harbors Red Deer, AB is seeking a Laborer (Shop/ Energy Services Technician) to join our Surface Rentals team. Responsibilities include mobilization and maintenance of assets in the field, rig up/down of solids control equipment, and completing safety and work documentation.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid Class 5 license, H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO tickets, with a background in industrial or remote-site environments.

Qualifications

• Valid full class 5 driver's license (non GDL) is required.
• Valid H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO tickets required.
• Background related to industrial, production services, well sites, wastewater or remote accommodations.
• Good mechanical background with troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work daily in the shop in Red Deer. No local travel/accommodations provided.
• Ability to work long hours away from home in remote locations for 1-4 weeks.
• On-call on a rotating basis; flexible and capable of adapting to a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Assist with the mobilization and maintenance of assets in the field;
• Assist with rig up and rig down of solids control equipment such as centrifuges;
• Assist with the tear-out of all assets and equipment at the completion of the project;
• Complete all documentation required for the work being performed (JSA's, work orders, inspection checklists, time entry, log books, inventory management, journey management);
• Maintain and operate any assigned vehicle in accordance with Clean Harbors policies and procedures;
• Washing and servicing of equipment;
