Job summary

Bantrel is seeking a Project Controls Technician to join our Energy team in Calgary. You will support cost control, budgeting, scheduling, and earned value reporting while collaborating with engineers, construction personnel, and project managers to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, reporting, and continuous improvement of controls processes and tools. A degree in a related field and 1–3 years of relevant experience are preferred, with a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Project Management or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in project controls, cost control, estimating, project coordination, finance, engineering or construction.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Support project cost control activities by collecting, tracking, analyzing, and maintaining project cost data.
• Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, progress measurement and earned value reporting.
• Prepare and distribute project controls reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather and communicate project information.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls processes and tools.
