Job summary

Fleetworthy is seeking a Billing Specialist/Senior Billing Specialist to own end-to-end billing for customers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contracts. Reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, Canada, this role serves as primary billing contact and collaborates with Finance, Sales, and Operations.

Responsibilities include leading billing operations, reconciling data, generating reports, supporting month-end close, and assisting with collections and payment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of billing/billing operations experience.
• Experience leading end-to-end billing processes.
• Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving.
• Strong reconciliation and data-analysis capabilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive issues to resolution.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Excel Skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end billing process to ensure customer billings are complete, accurate, timely, and aligned with contractual information.
• Own the identification and resolution of billing exceptions, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for billing inquiries from customers and internal teams.
• Research questions and discrepancies; coordinate with teams for timely resolution.
• Perform reconciliations between billing systems, operational data, customer records, and financial information.
• Analyze billing and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and missing information.
• Prepare and maintain reports showing billing accuracy, exceptions, and metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Operations and others to obtain information for accurate billing.
• Bridge between operational data and the billing process.
• Support development, documentation, and continuous improvement of billing processes and controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and automation in billing.
• Provide billing-related information and documentation for month-end closing and audits.
• Assist with collections activities and application of customer payments.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses as required.
