Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an Emergency Communications Officer (ECO) to deliver safe and effective emergency medical call taking and dispatch services to ambulances in Peace River. You will evaluate calls, follow established protocols, and coordinate dispatch operations to support response strategies.

The role is Regular Part Time (0.50 FTE) with shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends at the Peace River EMS North Comm Centre.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective emergency medical call taking and dispatch services to ambulances.
• Evaluate and process emergency and non-emergency calls using established protocols.
• Make key decisions and coordinate dispatch operations and response strategies.
