EMPLOYMENT COUNSELLOR (Contract)

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Ontario Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an Employment Counsellor to provide services in its Napanee location. This is a full-time (35 hours/week) contract position commencing as soon as possible ending January 2026.

Who You Are
As an Employment Counsellor, you are a part of our Employment Services team and your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to guiding your clients to successful outcomes including employment, training, education and/or entrepreneurship. While assisting clients through the intake process and determining their needs, you will communicate in an open, helpful and engaging tone with a focus on empowering each client through the job search process.

You enjoy working with people, are organized, and can work effectively with a variety of software programs. This role will have you managing a caseload of clients, working collaboratively across all of our departments, completing data entry, following Ministry guidelines and referring clients to community support and services.

· Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files

· Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks

· Knowledge of the local labour market and labour legislation

· Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, OPS/BPS, ESCases, Email, Databases)

Qualifications Required:

· College Diploma in a related field preferred

· Minimum of two years of employment counselling experience is preferred
