A community services organization in Toronto is seeking an Employment Case Counsellor to manage client casework and provide employment counselling. The role includes helping clients overcome barriers to employment and connecting them with job opportunities. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in Social Services and relevant experience working with vulnerable populations. Employment Type: Permanent Full-time, Bargaining Unit (1 Vacancy)
Work Hours: 35 hours/week (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)
Work Setting: Primary Site: 815 Danforth Ave, Toronto. Hybrid - Opportunity to Work Remotely after Orientation & Training Period
Salary: External G7: $54,097.76/year. Internal G8: $55,201.79/year

This position reports to the Manager, Workforce Development, Trades. The incumbent delivers in-person and remote case management, employment counselling and job development activities to prepare clients for employment opportunities in specific sectors, roles and occupations. The Employment Case Counsellor (ECC) will be responsible for ensuring the progress and success of the client experience in various programs at WoodGreen, managed by the Workforce Development Team. The ECC will work with unemployed or underemployed clients with barriers to employment and/or who are part of a traditionally under-represented group within the labour market. The ECC will be the client’s advocate and will assist in resolving client problems and eliminating barriers to successful participation, including preparing clients for the job search (e.g., building a LinkedIn profile, ATS-friendly resume, online job search, remote and in-person interviewing).
