Job summary

Ontario Water Works Association seeks a Manager of the Engineering Management Office (EMO) within Public Works. The role leads development, implementation, and monitoring of engineering and capital project delivery frameworks, standards, controls and support systems across Public Works.

You will manage cost, performance and risk, ensuring alignment with service levels and compliance while promoting engineering good practices, maintenance and reliability readiness across infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, capital project delivery, project/portfolio management or related field, including leadership experience.
• Experience with EMO/PMO functions, project controls, quality management and continuous improvement, preferably in municipal/public sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of engineering and capital project delivery frameworks, standards, controls and support systems across Public Works.
• Enable effective management of cost, performance and risk constraints related to infrastructure projects.
• Ensure alignment of deliverables with service level demands, compliance obligations, and engineering good practices.
