Job summary

Alliance Specialty Care Centres in North York is seeking a skilled EMG technician to join our new location. You will perform electromyography tests and help support our multi-disciplinary clinic focused on cardiology, neurology, and respirology.

New graduates welcome; full-time / part-time positions available. Candidates should be registered as EMG Technician (BRETC and AETC), with knowledge of the nervous system and anatomy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Registered EMG Technician (BRETC and A.E.T.C registration)
• BCLS and ACLS knowledge are assets
• Solid understanding of nervous system, anatomy and physiology
• Experience operating EMG equipment to test muscle activity
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Able to interpret clinical data and adjust as needed
• Commitment to ongoing registration and in-service education
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills under stress
• Good prioritization and time-management pattern

We provide physician consult and perform echocardiography.

We provide physician consult and perform echocardiography.

Qualifications

• Registered as an EMG Technician (BRETC and A.E.T.C registration)
• Current BCLS as asset
• ACLS an asset
• Proven basic knowledge about the nervous system, the human anatomy and physiology
• Proven experience in operating electromyography equipment to test the electrical activity of muscle disease or denervation
• Able to work independently in a fast paced environment, assess patient capabilities and limitations and make practice adjustments as necessary
• Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical data and information
• Commitment to maintain appropriate registration / affiliations, participate with regular in-service education sessions
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills and be able to work accurately and productively under stress
• Demonstrated pattern of prioritization and time-management skills
