Reporting to the High Pressure Metallurgy Lead Piping Engineer, you will assist with studies, design calculations, and piping specifications, applying academic learning on real-world projects.

The role targets new graduates (class of 2026) with a mechanical engineering degree, who are eager to travel to project sites and grow toward professional designation.

Qualifications

  • Must be graduating in 2026 or recently graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Active involvement in extracurriculars or volunteer work.
  • Coop or summer work terms in a mechanical engineering team are a plus.
  • Experience with metallurgical process equipment design is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in studies for projects involving high pressure and high temperature autoclave tech.
  • Prepare design calculations and equipment piping specifications.
  • Evaluate process alternatives and equipment selection trade-offs.
  • Participate in equipment design reviews and plant layout developments.
  • Perform piping sizing and contribute to drawings and data sheets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support cost estimates.
