BDO Canada is seeking a Junior Data Analyst, People Analytics, to join the HR Operations team. This entry‑level role supports accurate workforce data delivery, reporting and analytics. You will gain experience with Power BI dashboards, data preparation, and working with HR data while collaborating with stakeholders.

You’ll grow in a supportive environment, handling routine requests, learning data governance practices and progressively tackling more complex analyses as you develop your skills.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline.
• New graduate or early-career candidate in reporting or analytics.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with large datasets.
• Experience with data analysis or visualization is an asset.
• Exposure to Power BI or BI tools is preferred; SQL or HRIS exposure is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Power BI dashboards and reports with data refreshes.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from HR and stakeholders.
• Clean, validate and prepare people data for reporting and analysis.
• Provide first‑line support for People Analytics reports and dashboards.
• Assist users in understanding available reports and data.
• Identify recurring reporting questions and contribute to improvements.
• Conduct basic analysis and support larger analytical projects.
• Develop and maintain documentation for reports and data definitions.
• Understand HR data flows from source systems to reporting solutions.
• Handle employee data in line with privacy and data governance practices.
• Use approved AI tools to support analytics while ensuring data privacy.
