Job summary

London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is seeking a dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our 24-hour emergency and referral team in London, Ontario. This full-time position supports daily operations, patient care, and client service in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts include daytime, overnight and weekend hours, with holidays possible. Ideal candidates are compassionate with pets and people, capable of handling emergencies calmly, and eager to grow in veterinary services

Qualifications

• A passion for both pets and people is a must.
• Must maintain professionalism in emergencies and stressful situations.
• Willingness to learn more about veterinary services and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients by feeding, walking and providing reassurance.
• Keep animal housing clean, sanitary and comfortable.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents.
• Provide excellent customer service and ease for pets and owners.
• Assist with housekeeping and stocking when needed.
• Be proactive and willing to jump in where needed.
