Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC. The role delivers emergency care to patients of all ages in a high-acuity setting, focusing on patient-family-centered care and safety.

As part of a dynamic ED team, you will triage, stabilize, and collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure timely interventions and positive outcomes while maintaining standards set by BCCNM and VCH values.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as an RN with BCCNM.
• Completion of an advanced emergency care program or 2+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED.
• As triage nurse, assess needs and prioritize care with limited information.
• Lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.
• Stabilize and respond to multi-trauma and disaster situations.
