CAA Atlantic in St. John's, NL is seeking an Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) Technician on a 12 Month Term starting in early summer 2026.

You will be the reassuring face on the roadside, delivering trusted towing and roadside assistance with professionalism, safety and care. This hands-on role requires a valid driver's license, strong mechanical aptitude, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient towing services for Members.
  • Deliver roadside assistance such as lockout service, tire changes and repairs, fuel delivery, and battery boosts.
  • Support battery testing, sales, and installation for CAA Atlantic Battery Service Program.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with Members and Dispatchers to ensure timely service.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and reliable working condition.
  • Follow all safety, traffic, and company operating procedures.

As an Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) Technician (12 Month Term), you'll be the reassuring face of CAA Atlantic on the roadside, delivering trusted towing and roadside assistance with professionalism, safety, and care. This term position will commence in early summer 2026 with an expected end date 12 months from the start date. Term positions are based on continued business need, CAA Atlantic reserves the right to extend or end early any contract position. Should your position be terminated prior to the projected end date, CAA Atlantic will provide a minimum 30 days' notice.

In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you'll take pride in providing safe and efficient towing services while performing a wide range of roadside support, from lockouts to tire repairs and battery installations. You'll use your mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills to assess situations quickly and get Members back on their way - all while communicating clearly and courteously with Members and Dispatchers to ensure timely, dependable service.

We're looking for safety-minded, reliable team players who thrive in dynamic environments and take ownership of their work. Flexibility is key - our Members count on us around the clock, and you'll be ready to assist during evenings, weekends, and holidays when help matters most. This position is commencing immediately and follows a shift rotation schedule: 4 days on followed by 4 days off, 12 hour shifts.

This position is classified as safety sensitive. As part of CAA Atlantic's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, successful candidates will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment.
