Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BScN preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years Emergency experience.
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale education and experience with triage.
• IV certification.
• Certification in delegated medical acts specific for Emergency Nursing.
• Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent within past 5 years.
• ACLS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• PALS/ENPC credentials.
• Health teaching skills for adult and paediatric emergency care.
• Non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Demonstrated problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills.
