Job summary

Ambipar Response Canada in Terrace, BC is seeking an Emergency Response Technician to join our field team. The role supports hazardous materials incidents, environmental spills, and emergency response operations, with a mix of fieldwork and equipment maintenance.

You must reside in Terrace or relocate, be comfortable in remote locations, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Training and certifications will be provided to expand your technical skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with six or fewer demerit points.
• Ability to participate in emergency response operations and rotating on‑call schedules.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and diverse field environments.
• Strong teamwork and safety‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to environmental, industrial, fire, medical, and hazmat incidents as required.
• Support emergency response activities to protect people, property, and the environment.
• Assist with hazmat response, spill containment, and remediation tasks.
• Participate in fire response operations, including wildland segments when needed.
• Support confined space and high-angle rescue activities and medical response.
