Job summary

Ambipar Response Canada is seeking an Emergency Response Technician to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC. The role covers environmental incidents, hazardous materials, fire and medical response, and requires on-call participation, field work, and remote location assignments.

You will support operations, inspect and maintain rescue equipment, and work as part of a team on diverse emergency response and routine tasks. Training and certifications will be provided and required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with 6 or fewer demerits.
• Ability to participate in an emergency response and on-call schedule.
• Ability to work in remote locations and a variety of field environments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in required training and maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to environmental, industrial, fire, medical, and hazardous materials incidents.
• Support emergency response activities involving people, property, and environmental protection.
• Assist with confined space rescue and working-at-height activities as required.
• Inspect, maintain, and prepare rescue equipment for deployment.
• Participate in fire response activities, including wildland fire response when required.
• Work in remote locations and assist with the inspection, maintenance, and preparation of fire response equipment.
• Support hazardous materials response activities, including chemical transfer and packaging, spill containment, and remediation.
• Assist with medical response activities and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
