Job summary

Ambipar Response Canada (Emergency Services) seeks full-time/on-call Emergency Response Technicians (ERTs) local to Terrace, BC. Candidates reside in area or cover commute.

Responsibilities include ITM of client systems, rapid response to incidents, rescue operations, hazmat and medical care at scenes, and participation in trainings and meetings. Required licenses and certifications listed; on-call 10-hour days with day/night shifts and weekend call-outs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with 6 or fewer demerits.
• NFPA 1001 or NFPA 1081 (asset)
• Confined Space Rescue Certified (asset)
• High Angle Rescue (asset)
• H2S Alive (asset)
• Advanced First Aid (asset)

Responsibilities

• ITM of systems at our clients’ locations.
• Respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergencies.
• Inspect and monitor confined spaces, work at heights as required and ensure rescue and fire equipment is inspected and maintained.
• Work within a team environment to complete truck and equipment checks.
• Provide emergency Fire, Hazmat, Rescue and Medical care and other related services at the scene of an emergency, accident, disaster, or large scale incident.
• Transport patients to safety during an emergency
• Attend and participate in internal and worksite meetings.
• Complete hazard assessments and rescue plans
• Train within your crew

We are seeking full-time/on-call Emergency Response Technicians (ERTs) local to Terrace, BC area. Workers must be residing in this area or cover their own expenses to commute to and from the office location.

SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday (14 days on/7 days off)
• On-call for Emergency Responses
• 10 hour days
