Job summary

Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Ontario seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department. You will work under the clinical direction of the Supervising Physician to provide safe, high-quality care to patients and families in a busy ED setting.

Successful candidates will have a PA bachelor’s degree with CAPA eligibility, an ED clinical placement, and a proven ability to work under stress while prioritizing tasks and promoting teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completed PA bachelor's program from an accredited institution.
• Certified or eligible for CAPA certification in Ontario.
• Clinical placement completed in an Emergency Department.
• PA experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work under moderate to high stress levels.
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
• Strong teamwork and leadership to promote collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage assignments efficiently.
• Demonstrate diagnostic and therapeutic procedural skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care in the Emergency Department as part of the clinical team.
• Report to the ED Service Lead and work under physician direction.
• Engage with patients and families to support care and communication.
• Demonstrate appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
