Northern Health in Prince George, British Columbia, is seeking a Physician Assistant, Emergency, to provide a broad range of clinical duties within the PA scope of practice defined by CPSBC. Responsibilities include taking histories, performing examinations, ordering tests, initiating treatments, and performing procedures under the supervision of the on-shift Emergency Physician.

Competenze

• Registration as Physician Assistant (CCPA or PA-C) in Canada
• Licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
• English language proficiency meeting CPSBC requirements
• Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or legal authorization to live and work in British Columbia
• ACLS certification or achievement within three-month orientation period

Mansioni

• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatments, and perform procedures in collaboration with the Emergency Physician.
• Collaborate with and support a team including nurses, NPs, PAs and other health professionals.
• Document care following CPSBC and organizational standards.
