Job summary

Headwaters Health Care Centre is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Emergency Department on a temporary full‑time basis. The PA will work under a physician, manage patient flow, and collaborate with the ED team to deliver timely care.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, treatment planning, and discharge coordination. Applicants should have CAPA registration and emergency/critical care experience, with ACLS/PALS or plan to obtain within six months.

Qualifications

• CAPA registration in good standing or eligibility.
• ACLS/PALS certification or plan to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience in emergency/critical care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the supervising physician in the Emergency Department.
• Focus on patient flow and timely care throughout the patient journey.
• Perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate discharge planning and optimize interprofessional collaboration.
• Provide guidance to staff and assist with student placements.
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities.
