Job summary

First Onsite Property Restoration in Canada seeks an Emergency Mitigation Manager to lead emergency response and restoration projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness. You will oversee crews, coordinate with project managers and clients, and mentor technicians while maintaining clear communication and documentation.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, 5+ years in restoration or emergency services, IICRC credentials, and a passion for helping communities recover after disasters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the restoration or emergency industry.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing teams, coaching, and developing employees.
• Advanced understanding of water remediation procedures consistent with IICRC S-500 Standards.
• Strong knowledge of moisture reading instruments and drying sciences.
• Skilled in demolition, tear outs, and mentoring others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and mobile devices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• College certification in Environmental Studies or related field, an asset.
• IICRC Certifications: WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT, OCT.
• Forklift certification, an asset.
• Provincial Asbestos certification, preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
• Fit test and other safety certifications.
• Includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to complete work activities involving lifting and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• As an Emergency Mitigation Manager, oversee emergency response and restoration projects to meet safety and quality standards.
• Lead teams, coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment across multiple active projects.
• Conduct site inspections, manage psychrometric readings, and ensure proper drying and deodorization setup.
• Mentor technicians, lead safety meetings, and provide clear direction to maintain focus.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, adjusters, and clients to resolve challenges and report progress.
