Job description

Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, British Columbia.

Day shifts are 0800-1800 and nights are 1800-0800. Day shift averages 30 patients and night averages 25 patients.

Income Guarantee: $3013.00/shift (weekday) or $3300.00/shift (weekend). Nights: $3357.00/shift (weekday or weekend) - includes FFS, RRP, and MOCAP.

Travel and accommodation covered. Travel stipend: $250-$1,500 based on time. Maximum, $1,500 per round trip.

GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a 45-bed acute care facility. Services on-site include internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, otolaryngology, general surgery, psychiatry, and a community cancer clinic.

The 27-million-dollar expansion to GR Baker Memorial Hospital's ED and ICU has now been completed. This has improved patient flow, access to imaging and labs, security, privacy & confidentiality, and the alignment of critical care services and staff between the ED and ICU.

The population of Quesnel is approx. 10,000 with another 13,000 residing in the surrounding area. Quesnel offers mountain biking, fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and much more.
