Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the Wrinch Medical Clinic and Wrinch Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Hazelton, British Columbia. Locums have the option of covering clinic, and/or ER. Day shifts are 0800 – 1800 (10-15 patients). Night shifts: 1800 – 0800 (5-10 patients).

Estimated compensation for a two-week locum with call is approximately $29,000, including MOCAP: $1,500 - $2,000 (for 5-6 ER shifts) and REEF incentive: $5,000.

The Wrinch Medical Staff provides full-scope care to the region and includes family physicians, GP-anesthetists, nurse practitioners, and registered midwives, with a collaborative care model. Wrinch Medical Clinic has 11 exam rooms with full support staff. Wrinch Memorial serves a population of 8,000 with a 24-hour emergency department, beds, specialist services, pharmacy, dental, laboratory, and medical imaging.

The community, part of the Upper Skeena or “the Hazeltons,” is on the unceded territory of the Gitxsan Nation, with a rich cultural history and natural beauty.
