Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking an Emergency Department Data Reporting Analyst for a 6-month temporary/full-time role at the Centenary Site. The analyst will collect, validate, and report ED data to support operational, quality, and funding requirements, working closely with physicians, leadership, and IT teams.

The role emphasizes data integrity, reporting accuracy, and performance monitoring across patient flow metrics, wait times, and length of stay using EPIC and other systems.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma or equivalent related to data management, health information management, health administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of healthcare experience.
  • Knowledge of Emergency Department operations, clinical documentation, and healthcare reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, analyze, and reconcile Emergency Department data to support operational and performance reporting.
  • Review reports generated through EPIC and other systems; investigate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor key ED indicators: patient volumes, wait times, length of stay, admissions, transfers, and patient flow metrics.
  • Provide education to managers and program leads on data quality standards and documentation requirements.

The incumbent ensures the accuracy and integrity of data submitted through EPIC and other reporting systems, adhering to established reporting standards, timelines, and data quality requirements.The role requires a strong understanding of Emergency Department workflows, patient flow processes, clinical documentation practices, and performance metrics.
