Job summary

Aversan Inc. in Mississauga, ON, is seeking an EMC/EMI Engineer to lead EMC design, analysis, and certification efforts for safety-critical electronics. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure first-pass EMC compliance for aerospace, defence, and space products.

Ideal candidates hold a technical bachelor's degree and have strong EMC design experience, familiarity with LTSpice, Mathcad, EMA3D, and related testing. Hybrid work arrangement in Mississauga is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, engineering or technology.
  • Strong experience in EMC design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in EMC analysis related to EMI/EMC filtering and design at the system, circuit and circuit board level.
  • Demonstrated experience with product certification and qualification testing.
  • Experience leading EMC investigations and resolving compliance issues.
  • Experience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (e.g. LTSpice, Mathcad, EMA3D).

EMC/EMI Engineer

Aversan Inc. ( www.aversan.com ) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.

We are currently seeking a qualified EMC/EMI Engineer to join our team.

Location: Mississauga, ON Job Type: Full Time Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems and components with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
  • Develop EMC compliance strategies and certification plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of electronic products meet EMC requirements (mechanical packaging, electrical design, board layout, interconnect/grounding strategies, signal integrity, etc.)
  • Perform EMC analysis and risk assessments, define requirements and budgets, review electrical and mechanical designs, support system integration, and provide technical guidance to ensure EMC compliance to achieve first-pass certification success.
  • Develop qualification and certification documentation, oversee EMC testing, analyze results, and lead resolution of compliance issues and test failures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency
Qualifications

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 CAD (annual salary)

The base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors, including the individual's geographic location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications. This ensures compensation is fair and aligned with the specific requirements and attributes of each candidate.
