Job summary

Coastal Culture, a family-owned retailer on Prince Edward Island, is seeking a dedicated Embroidery Machine Operator for our Production team. You will set up and calibrate multi-head machines, program designs from work orders, and ensure accurate threading and material selection to produce garments for our stores.

The role emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with health benefits after probation and store-wide employee discounts.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 1+ years of embroidery, sewing, or machine operating experience.
  • Basic math and spelling skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to safely lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and combining sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

Coastal Culture is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our Production team! Our Embroidery Machine Operators work with precision to keep our retail stores stocked with stylish garments, while fostering our core values of Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, and Excellence.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Setting up the workstation and calibrating the multi-head embroidery machines at the beginning of each shift.
  • Working together with your team to maintain a clean and organized workspace while operating the machines safely.
  • Interpreting work orders to program the design into the multi-head embroidery machines.
  • Selecting the right materials and thread colours to use for each design.
  • Hooping different types of textiles and clothing items such as shirts, hoodies, polos, and hats.
  • Troubleshooting common problems such as broken threads and bobbin errors.
  • Performing regular and preventative maintenance on the embroidery machines.
