The Authentic T-Shirt Company/SanMar Canada in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Machine Operator/Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. You will accurately pick customer orders, load shipments, and help maintain clean, safe work areas as part of a fast-paced distribution operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Must be Class 2 MHE Narrow Aisle certified.
• Must be able to count quickly and accurately.
• Ability to recognize picking locations, product and colors.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pick customer orders following established procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and maintain clean work areas.
• Report any mis-picks or damaged products to the replenishment team.
• Label, bag and prepare orders for shipment per standard process.
• Assist in inventory cycle counts and route any supply shortages to management.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards at all times.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the role of an Order Picker is to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders following an established sequential routine as per established picking process.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Must be Class 2 MHE Narrow Aisle certified
• Must be able to count quickly and accurately
• Have the ability to recognize picking locations, product and colors

Working Conditions

• 40 hours per week; occasional overtime required
• Walking for extended periods & able to lift and carry weight up to 50lbs
• Able to work at heights of 20 plus ft on Narrow Aisle Order Picker
• Repetitive bending, pulling and stretching required throughout the day
• Must wear CSA approved safety footwear with protective steel toes and other personal protective equipment as required

Job Responsibilities

• Must strive to achieve or exceed picking accuracy targets
• Work with minimal supervision & keep assigned picking aisles clean and litter free
• Report mixed or wrong product in bins to replenishment team immediately
• Mark multi-tote orders with invoice numbers, can all orders at point of order pickup
• Ensure product is not overhanging/falling from bins
• Suggest methods to improve job effectiveness
• Participate in inventory cycle count program when required
• Ensure all operating equipment is maintained in working functional condition
• Complete required daily check list on machines
• Monitor supply levels (bags, tape, etc.) and advise key personnel when low
• Adhere to current and future company policies and standards to ensure a safe and agreeable working environment
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse and additional duties as required by management
• Must adhere to the KPI Policy
