Job summary

Peripheral is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineering Intern to support our capture systems team in Toronto. You’ll gain hands-on experience with sensor drivers, hardware bring-up, and firmware debugging alongside seasoned engineers.

You’ll contribute to real-world challenges, learn how production-grade embedded systems are built and tested, and collaborate across hardware and software domains in a fast‑moving, sports‑tech environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, EE, or Robotics.
• Experience with C++ or Python in embedded or systems contexts.
• Foundational hardware understanding and willingness to work hands-on.
• Legal right to work in Canada and based in Toronto for in-office work.

Responsibilities

• Support sensor driver development and onboarding of new sensors.
• Debug firmware issues related to performance and timing.
• Assist with testing sensors and hardware components for the capture suite.
• Support hardware bring‑up and PCB-level debugging.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to fit into the capture pipeline.
