Job summary

ROZOR in Hamilton, ON is seeking an embedded systems engineer to develop and maintain firmware, drivers, and real-time control software for our robotics platform. You will work on microcontrollers, safety-critical code, and ROS/ROS 2 integration to enable autonomy and reliability.

You will collaborate with hardware, autonomy, and QA teams, conduct hardware bring-up, and optimize embedded components for robust performance in production and field deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years embedded firmware experience.
• Strong proficiency in C / C++ for embedded targets.
• Hands-on with microcontrollers and real-time operating systems.
• Comfort reading schematics and using oscilloscopes / logic analyzers.
• Experience with sensor and motor driver development.
• Familiarity with ROS / ROS 2 integration is a plus.
