Job summary

Mist Mobility Integrated Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to join our Ottawa-based team.

You will develop and maintain software for precision aerial delivery and recovery systems, working in an agile environment with a focus on safety-critical, high-availability software. Responsibilities include writing C/C++ for embedded real-time systems, designing control algorithms, implementing tests, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and systems teams.

Qualifications

Embedded real-time development using C/C++ for safety-critical systems.
Experience with RTOS like QNX and POSIX compliant environments.
Ability to develop testable, modular firmware with unit tests.
Familiarity with aerospace software standards (DO-178C) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain code for MMIST's precision aerial delivery solutions.
Develop guidance, navigation & control algorithms for autonomous parachute systems.
Create unit tests and conduct simulation, modelling, and physical testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine control strategies based on real-world performance data.
Mentor junior embedded engineers on the team.
