Job summary

Tigercat Industries is seeking an Embedded Systems Software Developer to advance embedded control systems, instrumentation, and displays used in forestry equipment.

The role collaborates with hardware and software teams, including mechanical engineers and QA, to deliver robust firmware, desktop services, and I/O optimization. The position is based at Cambridge, ON, with a dedicated day shift and local team engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in embedded firmware programming and real-time systems.
• Familiar with software development life cycles and CI/testing.
• Proven ability to revise source code and manage SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, document, and deploy firmware for embedded systems using C/C++ on Linux.
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of resources.
• Create and maintain desktop apps and services using C# and .NET.
• Collaborate in design/development of custom boards and firmware for manufacturing tests.
• Support QA processes and optimize I/O performance.
