Job description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Email Specialist to join our Lifecycle & Performance Marketing team. Reporting to the Manager of Lifecycle & Performance Marketing, you will help bring our 1:1 marketing campaigns to life across email and SMS channels. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of campaigns by managing workflows, coordinating stakeholders, and upholding quality and compliance standards. You'll collaborate across departments such as Marketing, CRM, Ticketing, Digital Labs, and Global Partnerships, acting as a central figure in guiding campaign operations and optimizing results.

Position Type:Contingent – 12-month contract

  • Manage a high volume of campaign requests across multiple brands, ensuring timely, on-budget, and on-brief delivery.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project kickoffs, timeline planning, and feedback loops.
  • Coordinate campaign launches and maintain alignment with the broader marketing calendar.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to review and refine briefs, assets, and copy.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines and performance standard processes.
  • Proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and formatting; ensure working links and accurate visual rendering.
  • Craft compelling, on-brand email content including subject lines, body copy, and calls to action.
  • Customize and design email templates using drag-and-drop tools or basic HTML.
  • Schedule and send emails based on efficient timing strategies and audience segmentation.
  • Conduct A/B tests (e.g., subject lines, layout, CTA placement) to improve campaign performance.
  • Track campaign metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Generate performance reports and identify insights to optimize future campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and anti-spam legislation (e.g., CASL, PIPEDA, GDPR).
  • Maintain clean, segmented email lists and manage opt-in/out preferences.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot deliverability issues, ensuring emails reach the inbox successfully.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships to understand business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on best practices and strategic input to improve campaign outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or related digital marketing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of email platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), with the ability to create an emailand deploy the email within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Copywriting experience.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and campaign analytics tools.
  • Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., CASL, PIPEDA, GDPR).
