Job summary

KONE Canada is seeking a Field Installation / Modernization Mechanic based in Winnipeg. You will install and troubleshoot elevators and related equipment, working with subcontractors and consultants to meet project timelines. A strong focus on safety and clear communication is essential in a fast-paced field environment.

The role involves hands-on installation of major elevator components, wiring smaller parts, and ensuring adherence to safety standards throughout each project cycle.

Qualifications

• Must obtain or hold a TSBC Class A License.
• Clear and understandable communication for internal and external stakeholders.
• High concentration to wire, install, maintain elevator equipment.
• Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform field duties.
• Able to work in a field environment with variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install elevator components and perform wiring and assembly.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, general contractors, and consultants.
• Adhere to installation/modernization timelines and report progress to supervisor.
• Uphold safety standards to protect self and others on site.
