St. Louis School at Patuanak, Saskatchewan is seeking a dedicated, caring, and student-centered Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Summary
The Elementary Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering effective instruction, creating a positive classroom culture, assessing student learning, and working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and school leadership. The teacher will support the mission and values of St. Louis School while helping each student reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with grade-level curriculum outcomes.
- Create a respectful, organized, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, assessments, and learning supports to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues through clear and professional communication.
- Collaborate with school staff on instructional planning, student support, and school-wide initiatives.
- Integrate technology and other learning resources to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Support student development in academic, social, emotional, and behavioural growth.
- Participate fully in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and supervisory responsibilities.
- Model professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the mission and values of the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility for or possession of a valid Saskatchewan teacher's certificate and annual registration, as required for teaching in Saskatchewan schools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective elementary instructional practices, assessment, and classroom management.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team and contribute to the broader school community.
- Satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as required by the employer.
