Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our diverse team as an Elementary Teacher for Kindergarten to Grade 3. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education tailored to the needs and abilities of our students.

This role requires a deep understanding of various teaching methodologies, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Alberta curriculum and standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment encouraging inquisitive thinking and self-exploration.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and projects.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques.
• Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to support student growth.
• Participate in professional development to enhance teaching skills.
• Build strong partnerships with families, the Sikh temple, and the community.

Qualifications :

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.
• Understanding of various teaching methodologies and multiple intelligences.
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Flexible and adaptable teaching approach in a diverse environment.
