Job summary

Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is seeking a Full-Time Long Term Occasional Teaching Position at Open Roads Public School. The candidate must hold an OCT certificate in good standing, with preference for Junior/Intermediate qualifications and experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Métis students in Northwestern Ontario.

The appointment is effective immediately until the incumbent returns, but not beyond June 25, 2027, and the position will remain open until filled to promote

QUALIFICATIONS:

• OCT Certificate and in good standing is required.
• Will be familiar with First Nations, Inuit and Metis Cultures within our region and experience working with First Nation, Metis and Inuit students, their families and communities within Northwestern Ontario.
• Experience as a staff developer, lead learner and facilitator
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Familiarity with and/or experience in working cooperatively with staff, administration and educational partners
• This position will require a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) or a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) at the employee’s expense upon hire, and every five years subsequently.
