Job summary

SkyTrac Systems Ltd. in Kelowna, BC is seeking an Electronics Technologist to join the Production team for assembly and testing of avionics and flight data management systems. You will troubleshoot and repair circuit boards and electronic systems on-site.

The role reports to the Manufacturing/Maintenance Supervisor and requires a diploma or equivalent, with hands-on soldering skills and at least one year in electronics manufacturing. CARs familiarity is a plus, Iridium knowledge is an asset.

Qualifications

• Electronic Technologist or Technician diploma or equivalent advanced education.
• Proficiency in hand soldering.
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Experience in static awareness and material handling.
• At least one year industry experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Familiarity with the Iridium network is an asset.
• Familiarity with the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).

Reporting to the Manufacturing/Maintenance Supervisor, this role plays a key role in the manufacturing and maintenance of high-quality products, participating in the assembly and testing of avionics and flight data management systems, including troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards and electronic systems as well as the manufacture and testing of complicated satellite transceivers and accessories.

This position is based on-site in our Kelowna, BC office.

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $60,000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications brought to the role.
