Qualifications

• Knowledge of mining industry is a plus; valid driver’s license a plus.

Job description

Electronics Technician – Workshop

Work location: Val-d’Or – On-site

Schedule: 5/2 or 4/3 – 40 hours per week

The Electronics Technician is responsible for assembling, programming, testing, and repairing various electronic and communication systems and equipment.

Main Responsibilities And Duties

• Assemble, repair, program, and test equipment and systems;
• Follow established priorities, work plans, and deadlines;
• Perform various tests, analyses, and corrective actions to ensure that equipment meets Epiroc’s quality requirements and established standards;
• Diagnose and identify the source of problems affecting all types of electronic equipment;
• Participate in and recommend improvement initiatives to help achieve operational objectives;
• Comply with all health and safety procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology, such as Programmable Electronics or Radio Communication Technology, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;
• One to three years of experience in electronics or communication systems;
• Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities;
• Knowledge of the mining industry is considered an asset;
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is considered an asset.
