  • Design and implement circuit protection, power distribution modules, relays, sensors, and actuators.
  • Work with inverters, motors, converters, and general electrical components such as contactors, relays, and batteries.
  • Work with control systems such as PLCs and DCS.
  • Create detailed wiring schematics and diagrams.
  • Mathematical calculations and general system troubleshooting.
  • Program PLCs and troubleshoot loops.

Join Our Team as a Shop Technician at Epiroc!

This role focuses on managing and shaping our workshop into highly safe and effective environment in which to create prototype battery-electric vehicles.

Work Type (Onsite/Hybrid/Remote):

Onsite

Responsibilities:
  • Pull electrical permits, complete work to code, and communicate with electrical inspectors
  • Create reports for new electrical installs, repairs, and upgrades
  • Work with high voltage & high current equipment and associated control systems
  • Design and implement circuit protection, power distribution modules, relays, sensors, and actuators.
  • Work with inverters, motors, converters, and general electrical components such as contactors, relays, and batteries.
  • Work with control systems such as PLC, DCS, etc.
  • Create detailed wiring schematics and diagrams
  • Mathematical calculations, problem-solving. General system troubleshooting
  • Programing and trouble shooting PLCs
  • Arc flash training, calculations, oversight
  • Microgrid design, development and oversight
  • Oversee health and safety in the shop
Knowledge/Education:
  • Valid BC electrical ticket
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on industrial electrician experience
Skills and Abilities:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, technicians, tradespeople, and analytical professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Wage/salary for position: $95,912.00 - $126,870.00
