Job description

Adamson is a discrete manufacturer with strong vertical integration. Our capacity includes PCB assembly, CNC part making, finishing and complex product assembly; with these tools we manufacture live performance audio systems found in stadiums around the world. You can see examples of our products in action at www.adamson.ai

We are increasing our footprint to 130,000 sq ft to enable greater automation, increased product range, and a significant increase in manufacturing volume. Working environment, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency form the core of our mission.

We are looking for an Electronic Manufacturing Technician to join our production engineering team and help bridge the gap between electronic design and the factory floor. You'll be responsible for ensuring our power supplies, amplifier modules, PCB assemblies, and electronic subsystems are tested efficiently, reliably, and to the highest quality standards, supporting our growing production volumes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing testing for PCB assembly, electronic subassemblies, and finished electronic products (e.g., amplifiers, DSP modules, control electronics)
  • Design and implement test fixtures, jigs, and automated test equipment (ATE) to validate electronic assemblies at various production stages
  • Collaborate with R&D/design engineering to ensure new product designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT)
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, defects, and yield losses through root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and quality control procedures for electronics production
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by transitioning designs from prototype to full-scale production
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing yield, cycle time, and cost through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry and safety standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, ESD handling, RoHS)
  • Train and support production technicians on new processes, testing methods and equipment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing engineering, ideally in audio, consumer electronics, or similar high-reliability product environments
  • Experience designing test fixtures and familiarity with automated/semi-automated test equipment
  • Working knowledge of schematics, PCB layout tools, and reading electronic assembly drawings
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with design, quality, and production teams
  • Python (required) test automation, scripting, data analysis
  • SQL (preferred) querying production/yield data
  • C/C++ (preferred) — embedded/firmware familiarity for troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies (ICT, functional test, burn‑in)
