Element Technical Services in Alberta is seeking an Electronics / Instrumentation Technician (Journeyman or Apprentice) with 1 to 3 years of Oil and Gas experience to support monthly PM services, software updates and training of lower‑level techs.

The role includes hands-on work with diagnostics, hydraulics and electrical systems, plus Siemens PLC courses and opportunities to attend training with an issued certificate upon completion.

Qualifications

• Has a good understanding of electrical theory and safe work practices.
• Possesses an advanced hand tool set and the ability to use them effectively.
• Willingness to learn, retain information and train others.
• Committed to following safety processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Level 3 electronics technicians on major projects.
• Perform monthly PM services with minimal guidance.
• Utilize diagnostic software and troubleshoot electrical and electro-hydraulic systems.
• Support training and knowledge sharing across the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Basicunderstanding of the use of diagnostic software and how to use it.
• Proficientknowledge of hydraulic systems and their correct control settings.
• Canperform electro/hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Proficientknowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Has a goodunderstanding on basic equipment operation and theory.
• Basicunderstanding of troubleshooting and repair of greaser systems.
• Assistlevel 3 electronics technicians with major projects
• Isproficient in performing all monthly PM services with no guidance.
• Must havea good understanding of electro-hydraulics pump systems
