Job summary

Toradex is seeking an Embedded Electronics Designer to join our Mississauga team. You will design carrier boards, work on analog/digital circuits, and contribute to high-speed PCB layouts for embedded systems, collaborating with manufacturing for prototypes and volume production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and hands-on experience with embedded Linux, SPI/I2C/UART/USB, and multi-layer PCBs. Join a team delivering innovative embedded solutions to diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Solid schematics and PCB layout knowledge.
• Proficiency with multi-layer, high-speed PCB design for embedded systems.
• Experience with low-level hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Hands-on board bring-up, testing and debugging hardware.
• Experience with Embedded Linux.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Embedded Electronics Designer to join our team at the Mississauga facility. As an Electronics Designer you will work with our highly talented team to develop state-of-the-art, innovative products for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design of carrier boards for system-on-module's and microcontroller based devices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• This position will be compensated according to qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Practical knowledge of schematics and PCB Layout.
• Proficiency in multi-layer, high-speed PCB layout design for embedded systems in Altium designer
• Design Experience with low-level hardware interfaces, e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, USB, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, DDR RAM, eMMC, DACs, ADCs
• Experience with Analog and Digital debugging
• Hands on experience in board bring up, testing and troubleshooting hardware.
• Experience with Embedded Linux
• Ability to work efficiently and support multiple projects in parallel
• Driven to meet project deadlines and work effectively in ensuring on-time project delivery.
